Trustees
Trustees have overall responsibility for the organisation and work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to ensure that NEBDN complies with its governing document, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations. In addition to this, Trustees working for the Board:
- Actively contribute to the Board’s role in giving strategic direction to NEBDN, setting overall and defining goals, setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets.
- Safeguard the good name and values of NEBDN
- Ensure the effective and efficient administration of NEBDN
- Ensure the financial stability of NEBDN
- Appoint the Chief Executive Officer and monitoring his/her performance

We recruit for new Associate Examiners 1-2 times a year. If you’d like to be considered for future positions when open, please email engagement@nebdn.org
Each qualification is administered by Qualification Committees (Curriculum Steering Committee, and Ratification Committee) appointed to supervise and develop the qualifications and administer the assessment of Learners seeking its award. These are monitored by the Education Standards Committee on behalf of the Board of Trustees, who are ultimately accountable for all strategic decisions.

As part of our Subject Matter Expert group, duties include review, adjustment and commissioning of new assessment questions and scenarios. If you are dentally qualified and willing to commit some time to support the development of existing and new qualifications, please get in touch with us at engagement@nebdn.org
